The SA (Public Communications & New Media) to Ekiti State Governor, Mr Lere Olayinka has joined other well meaning Nigerians to congratulates Gen Buhari on his victory.
He took to Facebook to express his reflection on the polls, In his words....
"In the last three months, I have been actively involved in the presidential election campaigns in particular and National Assembly elections in Ekiti State.
To the glory of Almighty God and through the doggedness and political sagacity of my boss, the originator of the concept of stomach infrastructure, Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State was delivered to the PDP.
Once again in Ekiti State, we now have THREE PDP Senators and SIX PDP Reps members. Also, the margin with which we delivered Ekiti to the PDP was almost half of the margin with which Lagos State (with Tinubu, Gov Fashola, three Senators and 24 Reps members) delivered Lagos to APC.
This to me is gratifying and I salute the courage of our governor, PDP members and supporters and the entire people of Ekiti.
I also salute members of our Social Media Team for putting up a brilliant performance. You guys are indeed the hero.
To our President, Goodluck Jonathan, you have made your mark and have caped it up by bequeathing a legacy of democratic governance. By conceding defeat and congratulating the winner, you have shown that in the PDP, it is Nigeria first.
To the in-coming president, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) and supporters of the APC, election is over. Be magnanimous in victory and strive to keep Nigeria one as done by the PDP.
Most importantly, let there be no deliberate attempt by those who will be taking over power by May 29 to mussle democracy.
Nigerians enjoyed FREEDOM of SPEECH, independent judiciary and most importantly, freedom to choose through transparent electoral process under President Jonathan. Let the APC govt maintain all these and further nurture our democracy to full maturity.
And to the APC leaders and supporters already beating the drum of WAR in Ekiti State, let them sheath their sword.
By the grace of God, Peter Ayodele Fayose is the governor of Ekiti State and he will remain so till October 16, 2018. All these boasts of a President Buhari removing Governor Fayose belong to the comity of jundiced minds.
To those who have abused and are still abusing LERE OLAYINKA for doing his job, keep on with the abuses. It is the tonic that refresh my intellectual faculty.
