TEMIDAYO SAMUEL FAMILUSI: Our unbearable grief and pain.

It is HARD to accept the death of a loved one; especially when you didn't have the chance to say goodbye; especially when the deceased was taken so suddenly and so shockingly at the prime of life and most especially when it seems like an irreplaceable part of your world is gone. The grief and the pain can be unbearable; you cry a river and your sorrow knows no end. You never really know what it's like until you are there yourself, but you look to God because he's the only one who can comfort you.

Death and indeed a death so sudden and painful like the death of our colleague and friend, Familusi Samuel Temidayo, whose death made us realize the brevity of life.

As an individual, Temidayo was just that – an individual. We count ourselves extremely lucky that at some times during our lives we spent some moments with a wonderful human being like Temidayo, whose zest for life and capacity to live life to the full was inspiring.

He was an amazing friend, an amazing colleague and a supportive brother. He was gentle,  calm, and does not get pissed at anyone....... No matter how hard we try to piss him off. He never picked up a fight with anyone, he preferred to walk away from an argument than standing and let such arguments result into a fight.

Today should have been his 23rd birthday, unfortunately, we lost him to the cold hands of death some few years ago. Here we are, having our reflections on our experience at Federal Government College, Ikole Ekiti. How interesting would it have been if you were still in our midst.

All that is left, is that we pray to God Almighty, that HE forgive you your shortcomings and make heaven your abode.

Continue to rest in peace dear brother.
