My Reflections and thoughts about the just concluded Presidential Poll

Now that we all know where the result of the Presidential election is headed, I find it very important to share my thoughts and reflections on the just concluded polls.

My decision to support Dr Jonathan of the PDP isn't regrettable although his rival, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) of the APC has evidently won the election.

My vote and that of other supporters of Dr Jonathan wasn't enough to re-elect our candidate, the largest percentage of Nigerians made the inevitable decision to block Goodluck Jonathan's reelection. But am fulfilled that my support and vote counted towards the course. I am a happy Nigerian.

Am more than delighted that the most competitive presidential election in Nigeria ended without violence or chaos of any sort. Am happy, delighted and full of Gratitude to Almighty God, and Nigerians.  This is worth celebrating.

Dr Goodluck Jonathan, you made your mark in Nigeria's democracy, your style of leadership and the manner you practiced democracy earned you my support and vote. I will forever be grateful to God for blessing Nigeria with a remarkable leader like you. Your display of uncommon statesmanship by conceding defeat even before the final result is announced is remarkable

I can't end this piece without acknowledging some patriotic Nigerians I have around me. Kayode Honkay Isaac Oshinubi, Adesoji Gabriel Angelgabby, Osadola Sosapond Kenny, Sekoni Damilola, Olufowora Olorunleke Yinka, Fayeun SeyeSax Adeseye, Fogofoluwa Jimoh, Akinola Adeniyi Dio Peter Omotolani, Abdulazeez O Abdulwaheed, Ogundiran Aderemi Joshua, Oluwakayode Olumide Ogundamisi and several others I might have forgotten to mention. Our arguments, discussion and exchanged of opinions helped me understand the Nigerian political terrane better. Am grateful!!!

Congratulations to General Muhammadu Buhari on your victory at the polls, I pray Almighty Allah grant you the wisdom and divine guidance to steer the ship of Nigeria to grater heights. Please sir, govern Nigeria with the fear of God.
