Nigerian doctors under the aegis of the Nigeria Medical Association today called off a prolonged and contentious strike that would see doctors return to work tomorrow.
General Secretary of the NMA, Dr.Adewunmi Alayaki told SaharaReporters that the NMA decided to suspend the strike after several meetings with the Nigerian health authorities. He did not disclose the details/outcome of the meetings but stated that all striking doctors are expected back to work at 8:00 AM tomorrow. (Monday) morning.
