Former Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps,
FRSC, Mr. Osita Chidoka, has been sworn-in as new
Aviation Minister by President Goodluck Jonathan. He
replaces his kinswoman from Anambra State, Stella
Oduah, who was relieved of her appointment in February
amid allegations of abuse of office.
Also sworn-in on Wednesday alongside Mr. Chidoka was Abubakar
Olanrewaju, who was assigned the Minister of National
Planning portfolio.
Mr. Olanrewaju, a former University of Abuja don from
Kwara State, replaces Shamsudeen Usman, who was
removed last September.
Until Mr. Olanrewaju's appointment, the National
Planning Commission was supervised by the Minister of
State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda.
The two new Ministers were sworn in shortly before the
commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council,
FEC, meeting on Wednesday.
