Landmark University Admission 2013/2014 Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into full-time degree programmes in the following Colleges and programmes of Landmark University. Landmark University is a private university established by the Living Faith Church World Wide. Requirements The minimum entry requirements for admission into Landmark University are credit level passes in 5 subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study. Candidates are also to note that there are other requirements that may be specific to a College and/or a Programme. UTME Prerequisite Candidates applying to Landmark University should note the following: Candidates must have sat for the 2013/2014 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attained the prescribed cut- off marks as a statutory requirement for entry into Nigerian Universities. Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that their UTME subject combination qualifies them for their chosen programme in Landmark University. Candidates who did not choose Landmark University in the 2013/2014 UTME are free to apply for admission into the university In addition to the above, Landmark University conducts a Post-UTME screening exercise for all candidates seeking admission to the University and applicants may not be admitted without fulfilling the demands of the screening exercise. College Of Agricultural Sciences College Requirements Interested candidates must have credit level passes in five (5) subjects in the SSCE/GCE O’Level/ NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Science. Special consideration/waiver may be given to candidates with a pass in Physics but credit in Geography or Economics. The degree programmes available in the College are as follows: B.Agric Agricultural Science (Soil Science, Crop Science, Animal Science) (5 years) B.Agric Agricultural Extension & Rural Development (5 years) B.Agric Agricultural Economics (5 years) College Of Science and Engineering College Requirements Candidates must have credit level passes in five (5) subjects in the SSCE/GCE O’Level / NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The 5 credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two science subjects. The Degree Programmes available in the College and their respective additional entry requirements are as follows: School of Science Minimum of credit level passes in five (5) subjects in the SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/ NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The 5 credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other science subjects preferably Biology and any other subject. 1. B.Sc Computer Science (4 years) Candidates must additionally have credit passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science 1. B.Sc Biochemistry (4yrs) 2. B.Sc Microbiology (4yrs) Candidates applying for (1, 2, ) must additionally have credit level passes in Biology and Chemistry 3. B.Sc Industrial Chemistry (4yrs) Candidates must additionally have credit passes in Chemistry and one other science subject. 4. B.Sc Physics(4yrs) (Renewable, Energy, Geophysics, Electronics options) Candidates must additionally have credit passes in Chemistry and one other science subject. 5. B.Sc Industrial Mathematics (4yrs) Candidates must additionally have credit passes in any other two science subjects or one science subject and one social science subject may be considered. School of Engineering Minimum of credit level passes in five (5) subjects in the SSCE/GCE O’Level /NECO/ NABTEB or its equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and one other science subject selected from among Biology, Agric Science, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing. The degree programmes available are as follows: B.Eng Civil Engineering (5years) B.Eng Chemical Engineering (5 years) B.Eng Mechanical Engineering (5years) B.Eng Electrical & Information Engineering (5 years) B.Eng Agricultural Engineering (5 years) College Of Business & Social Sciences College Requirements Minimum of five (5) credit level passes in the SSCE/GCEO’Level/ NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings. The five (5) credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics and one Science subject selected from this group: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Health Science, Food and Nutrition and any other two subjects. The Degree programmes available in the College are as follows: School of Business i. B.Sc Accounting (4yrs) Candidates must additionally have credit level passes in Economics or Accounting and any other commercial subject. ii. B.Sc Banking & Finance (4yrs) Candidates must additionally have credit level passes in either, Economics, Business Methods, Commerce or Accounting and any other subject. iii. B.Sc Business Administration (4years) Same as Banking and Finance School of Social Sciences Candidates must additionally have credit level passes in Economics and History or Government. The Degree programmes available in the school are as follows: 1. B.Sc Economics (4yrs) 2. B.Sc Sociology (4yrs) Candidates must additionally have credit level passes in any three Social Science/ Commercial/Arts Subjects 3. B.Sc Political Science (4 years) 4. B.Sc International Relations (4 years Method Of Application 1. Also ensure to make the payment in the name of the applicant. Bank transfers should not be used. 2. Log on to our website: www.lmu.edu.ng to start the online Application Form. Applicants should ensure that every unit of information supplied while filling the form is correct and valid, especially, phone numbers and email addresses. These will be used to send important information to applicants 3. Applicants will be expected to attend a post UTME screening exercise on a date to be communicated later. All applicants being screened shall pay an administrative processing fee of N1,000. The Screening will be computer based and will take place at Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara state. Special Note All Qualifications claimed by applicants in order to fulfill the prescribed entry requirements must have been obtained on or before student’s registration time.
